This winery came recommended to me by the beautiful Wine Goddess Kacey Anderson of, Big Cab Bigger Hair.
Off I drove from Healdsburg to Sonoma.
About a 1 hour drive.
This year Patz & Hall is celebrating 30 years of winemaking excellence!
The goal of winemaker James Hall is quite simple:
Source wine grapes from the best vineyards and make wines that showcase the unique qualities of each site.
They source grapes from one of my all time favorite vineyards, Gap’s Crown.
Patz & Hall has lasting relationships with legendary local grape growers:
Gary Pisoni, Larry Hyde, Lee Hudson, George Martinelli, Charlie Chenoweth.
The wineries main focus is Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
They also have a Brut Sparkling Wine.
Walk-Ins are welcome but things can get a bit busy on weekends.
Reservations are highly recommended.
The Sonoma House Tasting ($35 per person)
Wines Include 2 Chardonnays and 2 Pinots
There is also a Salon Experience ($75)
6 wines and local sourced food paired with each.
Driving up to the tasting room is quite spectacular. A long tree lined driveway.
Once inside the tasting room I recommend reserving your tasting for outside on the patio.
You literally sit in a cut out section of a vineyard.
Dogs and kids are not allowed.
